Chuck Lee is a partner resident in the firm's Hutchinson office. His practice is focused on representation of banks, business and agribusiness enterprises in business and litigation matters, including mergers & acquisitions. He is admitted to practice in the state and federal courts of Kansas and Colorado.
Chuck has made presentations at the American Bar Association annual meeting on franchising issues and at meetings and seminars sponsored by the Kansas Bar Association on the rights and liabilities of corporation officers and directors, Uniform Commercial Code issues, mergers and acquisitions, executive compensation and third party opinion letters.He is the author of numerous articles on business law issues, including a chapter in the Kansas Corporation Law and Practice Handbook devoted to a discussion of the rights and liabilities of corporate shareholders, officers and directors and an article in the American Bar Association Journal on business acquisitions.Mr. Lee has been inducted as a Fellow by the Litigation Counsel of America. The Litigation Counsel of America is a trial lawyer honorary society composed of less than one-half of one percent of American lawyers. Fellowship in the LCA is highly selective and by invitation only. Fellows are selected based upon effectiveness and accomplishment in litigation, both at the trial and appellate levels, and superior ethical reputation. He has also been named a Kansas-Missouri Super Lawyer.
Chuck is active in bar association activities and has served the Kansas Bar Association as a member of the Board of Editors for the Journal of the Kansas Bar Association and as the President of the Corporation, Business and Banking Law Section and is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Kansas Bar Foundation. He is also a member of the American Bar Association and has worked as the Co-Chair of the Business, Business Opportunities and Commercial Law Committee of the Association's General Practice Section. He has for many years been a member of the ABA's Business Section and Litigation Section.
In the community, Mr. Lee has served on the Board of the Hutchinson/Reno County Chamber of Commerce; as the Chair of the Hutchinson Recreation Commission; the Chair of the Hutchinson Art Association and as a member of the Board of the Reno County Museum/Kansas Underground Salt Museum.
