Elwin F. Cabbage graduated from Washburn University in 1952 and the Washburn Law School in 1956. He has practiced law in Hutchinson since 1956 and is now of counsel to the firm.

Elwin is a member of the Reno County Kansas and American Bar Associations. He has been actively involved in the community where he has served as President of the Kansas Association for Retarded Children (1964-1971), a member of the Board and President of the Birger Sandzen Memorial Foundation, Lindsborg, Kansas. Elwin is currently a member of the Board and Vice-President of Reins of Hope Therapeutic Riding, Inc.
