Chuck Lee Presented A Program Regarding The Acquisition And Sale Of Privately Held Companies
Chuck Lee - a partner in the firm – presented a program on October 21 in Wichita entitled “Acquiring or Selling the Privately Held Company.” The program, sponsored by the Kansas Bar Association, was part of a seminar for transactional lawyers and included an overview of the structure of a private company acquisition agreement including discussion regarding stock, asset and merger transactions.
Lee has over 30 years of experience in the representation of banks, agricultural and business entities with an emphasis on mergers and acquisitions. He is the author of numerous articles on business law issues, including a chapter in the Kansas Corporation Law and Practice Handbook devoted to a discussion of the rights and liabilities of corporate shareholders, officers and directors and an article in the American Bar Association Journal on business acquisitions. He has spoken frequently on business law subjects.
